Matthews should be #1 if they lose. Didn't play well with him in the lineup.. As soon as he leaves and Styles comes back, they look like world beaters. If he misses multiple games without any serious injury, and they lose game 7.. I would expect he gets obliterated by the press.
Leafs haven't won a cup since 67. Leafs have never been to a 4th round finals, ever. Leafs have, correct me if I'm wrong, the longest cup drought if not for all four major sports. It's the Leafs with the most to lose overall.
Without a playoff run in a decade – the Leafs Core are under the most pressure. NHL fans easily forget who Leaf goalies were – but they do remember the Leaf Core 4 disappointments at about $11 Million each – with their zero playoff runs to show for it. 😀
Bruins are in full blown panic mode. The Leafs have been there and done that. No one really expected them to make it to game 7 and no one really expects them to win it, so the pressure is off. That's why they'll likely take the series and send Boston packing.
