The Boston Bruins beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-1. They take a 1-0 series lead after strong play from Jake DeBrusk and Jeremy Swayman. The Bruins played very well and Swayman made a lot of timely stops. The Maple Leafs seemed to struggle tonight with Nylander out of the lineup. Who impressed you the most in this game?

The Maple Laughs are good for regular season stats but nothing else. Not to take anything away from the Bruins because they were unstoppable. But the playoffs are for the real players.

This game was wild, the Leafs played great but just had no finish. I think I saw 3 missed open netters the Leafs had. Also, I don't think the Leafs were there to play Leafs hockey, they seemed like they were trying to play the Bruins game, which of course the Bruins will be better at.

Despite it being round 1 this is actually a big series for both teams. Both have something to fight for other than the cup, and with Boston winning this it's going to play psychological games on Toronto, and especially their fans. Toronto morale dropped last night, although I doubt by a lot, that will carry over into game 2, just like Boston's hype. This isn't just another series in the playoffs for these teams, they've got stuff on the line
