Charlie McAvoy literally tackles Auston Matthews from behind and there’s no call. I’m not watching this game but there’s not a prior standard in the world where this wouldn’t be a penalty.
How McAvoy gets away with some of the shit he pulls is amazing. Pulling down Matthews from behind, with his right arm wrapped around Matthews' torso is a penalty all day long including in the playoffs, just like Marchand's 'can-opener' on Bertuzzi. I don't get it. The other aspect is it could have injured Matthews had his skate blade got caught while he was being pulled backwards, so not just a penalty, but an element of danger on top.
McAvoy took a stick to the face in the first period right in front of the ref. No call. It goes both ways. Leafs had 5 power plays tonight. Bruins had 3. B's capitalized on theirs. Leafs didn't.
Reading some comments here you would not know but there was a conspiracy against Toronto by the officiating. It is silly. That said, officiating can be lousy for BOTH teams, as it was tonight. Incidentally, this definitely should have been a penalty.
Leads did get 0-5 yes yes yes we get it shut up but the thing that pisses me off is this play resulted in a goal a few minutes later for Boston AND Marchand slewfooted bertuzzi, he fell and eliminated him the play resulting in bostons goal
So the leaf fans obviously missed the Bertuzzi slash on Marchands leg on the knee tendons at the back of the knee, purely an attempt to injure in the first game. Yeah just keep crying.

It’s honestly unacceptable that they only reason they didn’t call that is because the leafs had 3 straight power plays in a row before this so they didn’t want to call another one. If a guy takes an obvious pen in front of the right, call the pen lmao

No calls on both sides… Domi throws an elbow to Swayman when he's skating to the bench, no call… Let's be honest though, the Leafs had 5 power plays this game and converted zero times, do you really want more penalties? Coyle and Marchy had a 2-on-1 shorthanded chance during one of them. Btw, there's been 11 PPs during the 3 games and the Leafs have only converted on 1; pathetic. Instead of whining about no calls, how about whining about not producing anything when there is one?
