Every fan was nice(except the one guy who sucker punched me in the bathroom. Fuck him!) punching a man relieving himself in trashy but it was just one bad apple it can happen anywhere.

What the fuck!? I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’ve been to nearly every game for the past five seasons and I have yet to see any fights (or isolated assaults like yours). It’s one of the things I love about hockey; the violence happens on the ice instead of the stands.

I am horribly sorry for that experience and sad to hear about the lack of accountability. I would wish the arena was made aware at a minimum? And if not there is still time! The arena should know this.

Sorry that you got sucker punched, we definitely have some “florida man” fans but usually everyone is tolerant and even nice to away fans. Typical behavior by the officer to not want to take the report. At the very least please reach out to the arena/panthers org to let them know the incident took place, not sure what they will do but making them aware can help someone out in the future. Hope you still enjoyed your time at the game.
Oh man, that’s terrible. Hopefully you don’t think all our fans are garbage like that one individual. That’s seriously a crock of shit that the cop said that you would have to leave go press charges. Why not allow you to finish the game. Sunrise PD are absolutely the worst. They got caught using the forfeiture laws to steal from people about 15 years ago and I’ve never had a good feeling about them since the news broke and we all found out what they were doing. Conveniently they stopped their scheme once it was uncovered. They hired a prostitute to go to strip clubs and convince men that they could buy a large quantity of drugs for little money and then it could be sold for a lot more money. The men were being tricked by the prostitute because she promised them that they could run away together on all this money they could make. When all was said and done, they seized millions from these men and out 15-20 sting operations, only like 2 of them had a prior drug charge and it was for small possession. They didn’t catch any actual drug dealers but just conned gullible men out of their life savings. So Sunrise PD are scum and it sucks that they didn’t arrest the guy who assaulted you. Very sad, hope you had a good time otherwise.

That is a terrible terrible fan and I am so so sorry someone did that to you. Unfortunately with playoffs and ticket prices going up, a lot of shitty people with a lot of money end up at the games and think they can get away with anything because they have money.
Not saying this is definitely what happened, but I noticed a lot more obnoxious Florida fans in my section as the playoffs rolled along last year, many of them people I’ve never seen before (I know almost everyone in my section, whether by face or name).
Definitely call the arena and tell them what happened, especially with the cop telling you you’d have to leave to file a report. I’ve had issues at the arena in the past and I’ve never been told to leave to file a report. That sounds like a cop who didn’t want to deal with any paperwork.
