It’s Utah’s turn…. It’s going to be weird not having a team in Arizona next season.

The Coyotes will still be my fourth favorite team (after Bruins, Wild, CBJ), even with the move to Utah. I am hoping their logo and colors look as cool as the Coyotes (purple please?)
I’m confused where they’re going to play next year. Do they plan on finishing the arena before next season starts?
Utah should avoid spending sprees in FA.
Keep liam!!
Utah and the Smith organization is going to treat the new team so well that it will be a desirable destination for players. That city is booming. Park city is 30 minutes away and it is one of the best celeberity destinations. It is on par with Aspen and Jackson Hole.
There won’t be a change to coach or gm in the offseason. Ownership already committed to them.
Also I don’t think a new arena is coming. Isn’t it a renovation that’s happening?
What IS math??!?
Venom
Yesssss. Guenther, Maccelli, Doan, Cooley, and Keller!!! All slept on
They can have all the young talent and cap space – I wouldn't want to play there.
Anyone who thinks there is nothing to do in Utah doesn't know anything about Utah. A bunch of hockey guys will fit in just fine here.
Please, keep thinking there is nothing to do in Utah, and please never move here. 🙏 -everyone in Utah.
it hurts so bad man
60% of Utah is Mormon, which is just too weird. None of their sports teams are any good. It's a landscape mecca, but I'd rather the team gone somewhere else.
As a hawks fan, I feel like Chicago and Utah is going to be a huge division rivalry in the future when they're both done building their teams.
Will be interesting to see Clayton Keller and Mitch Marner on a line.
All things being equal, they would have rather had an expansion team. This video explains why all things are not equal.
They’re not getting a new Arena. They’re remodeling the Delta Center instead because the City Council didn’t want the pro teams anywhere other than downtown and there’s no land to build on there. The $900m can be used towards renovations.
I really hate this. I don’t know when I’ll get over losing my team. The fact the future is so bright makes it all so much worse.
Utah Jazz have never drafted 1st either, I have no faith that utah's team will EVER get a number 1 pick, no matter what sport.
Great Summation! Thank you
Draft lottery is so dumb. Teams still tank extremely hard, just go in reverse order.
There's literally a dinosaur called the Utahraptor. Just do it.
Thank you. So helpful. And as a Utah resident, we love the perception that there is nothing to do here. No one should ever move here. 😉
Do you think 🤔💬 the organization will move their AHL franchise as well, sometime in the near future, I don't know maybe 🤔 Reno Nevada? A interesting choice 😄
Utah is mainly desert, it's just called the high desert, or colder.
Could be a good rivalry with the Avs like the Jazz and the Nuggets.
I think the Utah team will have a terrific year owing to a mental boost from having stability and ownership that cares about the players.
Im expecting and ive heard online, Utah will sign a big free agent. I think Guentzel will be in Utah next year
I'm pretty sure that the "there's nothing to do in Salt Lake City" line is code for "Salt Lake hasn't got any good places to drink." I don't know if that's true or not – I expect it's probably true that in terms of numbers per population it's pretty sparse, and the nightclub scene is probably not as strong as you'd find in another similarly sized city. I mean, I don't drink so I've never been looking for such places myself, so I could be wrong. And I know that Utah in general tends to be more restrictive of anything to do with alcohol than any other state (though it has loosened up somewhat over the last 20 years or so). But if you're looking for that sort of thing, and especially if you're making the kind of money the average NHL player makes, I'd be surprised if you can't find enough good places to keep you happy. And if your life doesn't revolve entirely around drinking SLC compares quite favorably to pretty much any mid-sized city in terms of things to do. That's aside from the fact that it's probably way above average when it comes to outdoor activities and natural beauty of the surroundings.
lol it wont surprise me if they stay at the cap floor for the first year.
Right when the coyotes start to build the franchise correctly!! LOL
You deserve 7.1 million for your knowledge and videos! You should on Sirius radio. And a weekly spot on espn!
Hockey works in the desert, just not the NHL
They may not be able to use the name "Coyotes," but the "Utah Phoenix" is viable to rise from the ashes.
12,000 unobstructed hockey seats and about 16,000 for hockey total. So, yes the Mullet Arena era had to end.
Liam "Spicy Tuna" sure sounded like he wanted to stay with the team at that welcome party. I saw that he also led the team in penalty minutes. Every team needs a little spice!
They’re not building a new arena. They’re renovating the delta center.
There’s only the best mountains in the world in Utah, but sure there’s nothing to do…
People that say there's nothing to do in Utah likely have either never been, or went there 20+ years ago, or have only been to the airport.
As a recovering Coyotes fan, the only advice I have for the Utah fanbase is to not get too attached to any particular player – especially during a rebuild. I love Liam O-Brien but "Spicy Tuna" may not even be on the team next season (so fans will soon see what I mean). Hopefully Ryan Smith keeps GMBA (because he's a genius).
UTAH UNEARTH
UTAH APEX
UTAH UNDERDOGS
UTAH COUGARS
Here's a crazy thought (Yes, crazy) Toronto finally decides to break up the core-4 after another 1st round defeat. Matthews gets traded to Utah, since they're the only possible team with the cap to take on his contract, further twisting the knife into the AZ fans. (As a Yotes fan, this hurts my heart just saying it)
Team should be called Salt Lake Serpents
Team name: The Yellow Jackets, a unique name in major league sports, Utah is the Beehive State, colors yellow and black, add the sky blue accent and you complement the Jazz colors.
Cooper to Utah. Heard it here first
Post Malone lives and loves living in Utah. And who doesn’t love posty 🤷🏻♂️
