very evident last year against Florida in the playoffs . Same issues again against Boston this year. When up against a physical team who plays good defense, forechecks well and battles along the boards for the puck. The leafs fluff four can't compete.
Until the leafs build a team to compete against Florida or Boston, which should be their primary objective. They better move out of the Atlantic division, otherwise expect the same results next year
Trade Marner to Salt Lake for a couple of picks. Seriously the "Coyotes" have to spend 10 million just to get to the cap FLOOR. They'll bite. Then you retain Gio because you pay him nothing and he's the only leader you have. Brodie gone, Samsonov gone, Marner gone. Sign some guys. You're gonna have 15 million or so to do it. This is not the end of the world. And in a year, Tavares is gone. Sign someone else.
