Bill, I gotta stop this at 00:30 to say this. Boston guy here, and you’re wrong, I know exactly how it feels to be a Leafs fan. Because I’m a lifelong Red Sox fan. And yes, they finally won a couple championships. But before that happened, 3 generations of my family watched and waited and hoped. Saw them come sooooo close several times, only for them to snatch it away from us over and over again.
So that generational agony, yeah we know it. And it might be true that I kinda revel in Leafs nation’s pain, but it’s partly because I am familiar with that pain.

After the 2013 meltdown.. I threw all my Leaf gear in the garbage and never looked back. 11 years later, I'm finally at the stage where I actually bet on Boston to win the series and have some fun watching playoff hockey again. 13 Cups in a 6 team league and the Leafs still acting like they "deserve" a Cup. The Leaf's "legacy" is worthless. Leafs fans have to realize that they've been sold a pig in a poke. The Leafs were NEVER good. You can't count pre-expansion. Every team was winning Cups and every player was Canadian. It's pure history.
