As we know the Red Wings installed an actual goal horn this year, and it’s much better than the previous recording… By far. As its a different model than what used to be blared at Joe Louis, it wont sound quite the same at LCA. However, I think they can replicate it as much as possible. I created some concept horns + songs for the Wings 24/25 season for fun. If the Red Wings are able to pitch the horns down to the same tuning the Joe’s were and add another set of the same horns they have now, it can sound very similar. I am a goal horn nerd.

This is going to be a very long offseason.
Don’t stop believing is the win song. I’d really dislike having it be the goal song.
I was actually thinking during the last home game that I’d love to have a copy of a freighter’s horn. It would have been awesome at the Joe on the riverfront, but still a cool historical recognition for Detroit.
The horn we have is fine.

Think the horn is actually the same model but it sounds different because of building acoustics and the up to code gas they’re using. At least that’s what I remember
I’ve always wanted the chorus of Get Ready by The Temptations, it’s Motown, fun and upbeat, and fans can sing along. I always liked Toronto’s hall and oats goal song and the canucks current one, I feel like Get Ready would be in line with those as classic songs.
