It was borderline, but I wouldn't call it boarding. I think it didn't meet the threshold of being violent enough.

Yeah, that's boarding….at the very least a 2 minute minor. Could very easily have been a double minor.
The Leafs took a bunch of dumb penalties in Game 1, and this easily could’ve been another.
