Gusev should be a solid 50pt guy but I think he will struggle this year adapting to skill level difference and smaller ice.

Gusev = released by next summer
like his former line mates Kovalchuk and Shipachyov he'll be a let down at the NHL level . its why VGK gave him away because he only stepped up in Radulov's void in the KHL but when facing Radulov head to head with a stacked team including Datsyuk , Gusev was a ghost .
he's a great player if he's the least talented player on his line and can just float around until a puck pops onto his stick .
If you hate Floater's , you'll hate Gusev .
Agreed on Byron, he is a little spark plug with lightning speed. Injured season last year but he stays healthy, he should improve a lot in the points area. Also a great try at second line like you said Rick.

The number one reason that Habs missed the playoffs is Anti Niemi. The second reason is poor shooting % which is why we have a poor PP. Gusev ( a play maker ) is not what we need . We have playmakers in abundance. We need shooters. We need guys who can put the biscuit in the basket. Like Caufield.
