  1. I'd expect Boston to win this one, because of Sammy. But after the 1st, the Bruins have been neutralized. Still only 3 goals, which is not amazing for a top-heavy team, but, there's a chance.

  2. I really liked what i saw here. We all saw the stats about how the leafs are better on paper and in the stats than Boston, this is the first time this season I really saw it in action.

This team looked great in the second and third. What’s more, Boston looked like they had no clue how to deal with our second wind. They struggled to defend against us in their zone, the number of fantastic shots we got on net that stayed out because their goalie is hot, it could have been 5-2. And when they did have the puck, they struggled against us defensively. They kept getting the puck taken away, passes couldn’t be made and when they were, it was easy pickings for Sammy.

If we carry this momentum and level of play into game 3, I can see us winning the series. It depends on how we come out to play on Wednesday and what adjustments Boston makes.

  3. I enjoyed this LFR, except for calling Sammy out on that second goal. That was on Liljegren. And maybe Marner. But Sammy played great and made several key saves in the first. Then shut the door.
All the other broadcasters got that. Instead, you went on another shit rag and that’s when I turned your simulcast off.
Same as I turned off your podcast when you screamed that Matthews should find another job.
After the goals he’s scored, the plays he’s made, his incredible work on and off the ice- and you said that.
    You lost me.
An admission of your horrible hyperbole would be very welcome.
If the Leafs organization, hearing that, doesn’t cut you off from all access to the team, I’d be very surprised.
At least tonight you admitted you were wrong about Sammy. Good start.
But, just so you know, your rant telling Matthews to find another job has been excerpted and streamed on Youtube, FB, X and it looks like your own edit.
    Maybe take that down.

  4. Good to see you almost blow a gasket for a good thing, Steve! Cool Stat for the podcast tomorrow: of all the Game 1's in this year's NHL and NBA play-offs, the Home team won 15/16. The VGK were the only away team to win a game one. Looking forward to listening. Much love from Germany.

  5. Holy shit. This is not the same guy I started watching yers ago. Maybe its me. I am getting older. I cant stand the yelling/screaming, and the constant mentioning of your own numbers. I would take Adam and Jesse without Steve any day.

  6. One of the guys at the bar tonight mentioned them showing the "Leafs haven't won with more than 2 goals" stat (I missed seeing it), and I literally said: YEA! Well….. They didn't have MAX DOMI THEN!!!! MaxVP

  7. 4:10 🤨 "Like poop on Velcro" ??? HUH? I think you meant, "Like burs on a shoelace!" or "Like burs on a sock!" maybe even , "Like stink on poop!" but never poop on VelcroWTF is wrong with you? Yuck!!! 🤮

  8. They were the better team and deserved the win. That’s one. Three more to go. Isn’t it a great feeling when they want it more than their opponent? Good game boys but Boston will be better on Wednesday. Stay hungry.

  9. Bro, 'Feeling Good' is a Nina Simone song… I believe she was also a Leafs fan though, so the point stands.

  10. This bro can get excited all he wants but with Samsonov in the nets I don't see Toronto getting far and that d is god awful. Offense, yeah the Leafs are solid but the rest of their game is lacking a lot.

  11. I have to say this, boy did coach Montgomery give the Leafs a big gift! Instead of the Leafs facing the goalie, Swayman, that has been Vezina like on them Montgomery does his dumb goalie rotation and uses Ullmark! Advantage, Leafs! Even though the score final was only 3-2, the Leafs took enough advantage of facing the lesser goalie in Ullmark! Swayman is in the Leafs and their fans heads! Nope, he was basically benched for playing a great Game 1! This is not 80's NHL anymore where goalies were switched in a playoff series quite frequently. Bruins had the Leafs on a hook after Game 1, and let 'em off easy! Swayman will probably get the nod in Game 3 and could give the Leafs fits again. But now it's a whole new series, as the Leafs outlook looks a lot better!

  12. Maybe this year they actually started with Game 7 and now it's round 2 mindset? JK, it's the classic leafs bait, wouldn't hurt if you thought they couldn't win.

  13. Toronto is simply too good. Regular season doesn't matter. Boston has achieved way above expectations this year, but there's no way they can keep matching the Leafs firepower.
