Game 1 of the playoffs for the Jets and Avalanche went the exact opposite of what everyone was thinking would happen. The Jets win an insane 7-6 hockey game where mistakes and goals were plentiful. This was by far the most fun game in round 1 of the NHL playoffs so far. How will they come out in game 2?

Avs think their all high and mighty just because the avs outplayed us, truth is the jets played like they did in nashville , my guess they will shut them down next game, it pisses me off that the avs just blame their goalie, the truth is most of those goals were good , the ones on helleybuck not great, the smount of shots for the avs come from the outside and most of them were in the first and the third period, avs fans are wrong to feel good , I swear they are so annoying

I would not be surprised if the go with Georgiev in game 2 and if he's bad again they'll go to Annunen in game 3
Nunnanen is questionable. he has the flu. thier third stringer Holm has ) NHL starts and an .891 AHL SV% 2.97 GAA.. they don't really have much to turn to.
Annunen was sick and wasn't even on the bench for this game. He'll likely be sick on Tuesday, so don't be surprised if Georgiev is back for that one too. But if he plays the same, it'll likely be the last game he plays for the club, either way. But playoffs don't really start until someone loses at home, so they've got space to try him once more before going back to Denver, imho

Really for me the jets need to come out stronger to start periods. Every single period it was the avs that came out flying. Also wont be sustainable to score 7 a game so need to tighten up the defense. Dont think your gonna be scoring 6 goals on Helle again either. Regardless a wins a win but lots to improve on
Jets proved they can "run and gun" or shut down the Avs….. its all bout the "W's"
The way both teams played is unsustainable. Jets will lose if they don’t tighten up on defence. Avs will lose if they keep playing their top forwards to death and they need some goaltending. Looking forward to a lower scoring chess match next game.
