‘Hakuna Matata’: Leafs look to leave the past in the past

The Maple Leafs were dealt a 5-1 loss by the Bruins in Game 1 of their first round playoff series, a similar result to the one Toronto suffered last year against the Lightning. However, the Leafs aren’t dwelling on the past and are determined to fix what they need to in order to bounce back in Game 2 on Monday.

  1. They ain’t doing shit 8 years and nothing changed just a team full of spoiled brats who care only about the money then winning. Fuck this garabge disappointment of a poverty franchise

  2. Reaves didn’t help. Better sit Reaves and use NHL level players. Maroon was ok – and Leafs don’t need Reaves to fight Maroon at this time. Boston is just playing better playoff hockey than the Leafs. This isn’t about needing Reaves to fight at this time. 😀

  3. The key to bouncing back is having a "short memory"? As in you don't have any takeaways from game 1 to help in game 2? Very bizarre answer

  4. No 2024 conference final hopefully will mean:
    – Keith Pelley, whose tenure as CEO of Leafs’ ownership group MLSE began earlier this month, will end Brendan Shanahan‘s 10-season-long presidency no later than the week after the Leafs have lost their first- or second-round series (as by then the Leafs will have won at most two playoff series during Shanny’s presidency)
    – a break-up of the AM34-Marner-Nylander-Rielly-Tavares quintet

  6. The leafs haven't beat this team over 2 years and that status is clearly not changing in this series. They just don't hate losing enough and that's a pride issue.

  7. I've literally said it all year long in these comment sections… the leafs have zero killer instinct. The playoffs are about not accepting losing as an option.

  8. Why are the Indians speaking to the media and not all their chiefs?…Torontos star's take all the credit when they win…they lay blame when they lose….Boston in 4…
