Tonight it’s just Tyler & DiNardo so we should have a good time! Yes, the Pirates are struggling and yes, we will discuss some of that. However, we simply cannot get enough of Jared Jones so we’re going to talk some more about him.
Jared Jones has been so dominant these first 4 starts and I still don’t think we understand just how dominant he’s been. With that said, are there any flaws with his game?
With the injury to Marco Gonzales it has been determined that Quinn Priester will get the call tomorrow to replace him in the rotation. How has Quinn performed so far in Triple-A and what do we expect from him in this rotation going forward?

Compared to deGrom’s 2017 season Jones throws his slider 16.9% more and his fastball 4.5% fewer times than him. deGrom also throws a sinker so his fastball usage really is 52%. deGrom threw 24% breaking pitches to Jones’ 11.9%. The pitch locations are incredibly similar as well. If he can increase his breaking pitch count he’s going to be so fucking good.
Guys, little worried how happy and excited Tyler is with JJ. This isn’t good. We know what works. Tyler hating players. 😂
that potential rotation next year is so exciting
