Didn't matter. LOL. Soon though the NHL will go the way of the NBA where seeds 1 thru 10 or whatever are eligible for playoffs with the stupid play in games.
The regular season is already completely meaningless, might as well make it official and have every team make the playoffs with the lower seeds doing a best of 3, and higher seeds getting a bye.
Reduce the regular season to 75 games and go with it already.

Besides the guy who didn't clear it out, the other winger didn't cover the point as Don Cherry would say. That's why this goal happened. #40 screwed up royally. Absolutely no reason why he didn't cover the pointman.
