[Spurgeon started skating four weeks ago. Expects he’ll be the same player as he’s always been next season.](https://twitter.com/russohockey/status/1781343596123504809)
so hopeful for him. he is such a good dude and so important to the Minnesota franchise, fans, and players. Wishing him nothing but a speedy and pain free recovery 💚
Back surgery is rough. Parise was never the same.
I also thought it was tough to watch them play most of this season.
Being well into the wrong end of 30 with this kind of injury and repair, we can hope for the best, but expect the worst. There’s a very good chance he’s not the same player next season as seasons before, which is all the more reason to keep an eye for Dmen worth picking up or getting some really good time for the prospects to possibly come up.
