If the Wild lose in regulation tonight vs Seattle, they will draft 13th. No team below the Wild can pass them in points.
If the Wild gain any points tonight (win or overtime loss), they will pass Pittsburgh in points and will draft 14th. The Wild cannot pass any more teams above them. Minnesota has the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh in the event of an OT loss: both clubs have the same amount of Regulation Wins (32) and Regulation + Overtime Wins (36), but the 4th tiebreaker is total wins, which the Wild have 39 compared to the Penguins’ 38.
If the Wild are 1 of the 2 teams that win the lottery, they would move up 10 spots and will then draft 3rd or 4th.

Or maybe we get the 3/4 pick! Can’t win the lottery if we don’t play
As is tradition…
I think this is the year to target a defenseman. None of the forward prospects at 13/14 are likely to project any better than what we already have on the team or in the pipeline and I think our D prospects are pretty thin.
Fighting to the bitter end potentially cost them dearly. Refusal to accept a tank is ridiculous
Does the Wild move up in the draft with a trade?
Freddy and Mojo for the first overall is what I am thinking. And maybe throw in Lettieri.
Are there any 30+ “gritty” veterans in the draft this year?
