In the draft behind the scenes video, which was recently reposted here, Bobrov talks at length about how Slafkovsky has been famous in Slovakia since he was 15, was anointed “the next one” by the nation’s hockey fans, and has been dealing with the pressures of fame and expectations ever since. He was so well-prepared for the scrutiny and pressure in Montreal. If you want to see a rock star, wait until he suits up for Slovakia in the Worlds at Prague.

Just realized I haven’t seen any Slaf naysayer in a looooong time. It’s so easy to like his attitude and so hard to find anything about him to gripe about after his play improved so dramatically.
