NBA Players Are UNLOCKING This CHEAT CODE Shot…

D’Angello Russell unlocked a new weapon in his arsenal, and he is lethal with it.
This is called the no dip shot, as the ball doesn’t go down or doesn’t dip below the shoulders.
D’Lo actually specifically worked on it with Chris Brickley as he knew that playing with Lebron means that there would be laser passes that require a quick trigger.
BTW Russell is shooting a career best 41.6% from downtown.
He is the latest player that has unlocked the no dip..
Nick Batum is one of the guys that utilizes this shot the most. I mean look at this lightning quick release. It all happens in 1 motion and in the blink of an eye the ball is out of his hands.
Coincidentally, Batum is also having a career year from beyond the arc with 44.0%
Jerami Grant is another player who’s extremely effective with it.
On the kick out to the corner, Jerami’s size combined with the fact that the ball never comes down, makes his shot almost unblockable.
Now guess what… 40.1% this is a career best for Grant as well. I don’t know if the no dip plays a role in this, but it’s interesting to see nonetheless.
When you think about the no dip, of course Klay Thompson is the first guy that comes to mind. Considering the sheer amount of threes that he’s fired away, he probably has the most shots of this caliber.
But to me this shot will always be synonymous with Anthony Morrow.
Morrow was actually the pioneer and wasn’t like a once in a while thing. In 2015 he started shooting like this almost every time off the catch.
I mean look at this shot. The ball is above his head the entire time. I have never seen a player keep the ball that high up on the shot, let alone swish it.
Shots like that earned him the nickname which I thought was pretty cool.
Even before the major shot transformation, Morrow always had a pretty quick jumper. And a deadly one. In 2008 as a rookie for Golden State, he led the league in 3 point percentage, finishing the season with 46.7%.
I made an entire video about Morrow last year, and I had to include him here as well.
BTW, speaking of three pointers here’s a stat that’s going to blow your mind. Lebron James has a better percentage from downtown this season than Steph Curry. Imagine that! And yeah I know Lebron’s volume is lower and Steph’s shots are probably more difficult, but it’s an interesting trivia. And I’ve got a bunch more crazy stats in this video right here so you gotta check it out. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.

  1. Joe Ingles been doing this for a decade too – except his shot can look even stranger because he catapults it.

  2. If I got a pass above the head I would often use this form with better success than my usual shot. Defence doesn't even contest half the time because they think you're just searching for a pass

  3. It's good you mentioned Anthony Morrow. It's my first time to see this kind of shot from him with OKC.

  4. D-Lo has the best flick of the wrist in the entire nba and you missed Kyrie as he inspired a wave of new-era no dips during his 60 point game against Orlando

  5. you still haven't addressed why your vids were region locked for almost 2 years in APAC

  6. To be fair to Nicola, he's been doing that high release three shot for almost his entire career. You gotta remember too – he's in his 16th season right now, being drafted in 2008. I remember him shooting just like that here in Portland from about 2010/11 on.

  7. So why the fuck are the Lakers struggling when two star players average 40+% on 3pt this season? I also didn't like AD saying it's ok being playin seeds when they just proved something last year.

  8. Klay is not "a no dip shot". Sure he has quick release, but almost always catches the ball below the shoulder, so the only way is…up

  9. I love how Morrow's shot where he was declared "The fastest gun in the West" was the most dippiest of all dip shots ever dipped.
