Eh I don’t get too upset about it, the way this team’s been for the last 10+ years who knows if he’d have turned into the player he is today.

I named my bong Sergei Bongbrovsky when I was in 10th grade so the trade hurt just that much more

I’ve never felt bad about the Bob trade. After Pronger got hurt where we were as an organization and as a team defensively I can say with the upmost confidence he would have never won a Vezina and likely would be in the KHL or some shit right now. Getting out when he did and getting to Columbus at that time was the best thing that could have happened to him. He’s also still be a largely Shitty goalie in the playoffs his career so we would have killed him for that just like Cechmanek RIP.

Was checking league stat leaders, and Bob and Stolarz are top 5 in all the categories. Feels bad man.

It’s especially funny when you look at the league leader in GAA and SV%.

Dude is going to be top 10 in all time wins most likely in NHL history…

Jeez, I know the shelf life of goalies is typically late 30s, but Bob still has likely 5 good years left in his career playing at a solid level. That’s a long fucking time. 5 years ago was pre-pandemic, so he’s going to have 5 long years of likely still playing like a star.
Holmgren can get fucked.
>Then, the problem is, not only did we make a mistake on the long-term contract (Bryzgalov received), but Bobrovksy’s a young guy and he told Paul, ‘As soon as my contract’s up I’m out of here,'” Snider said Saturday. “He wasn’t going to re-sign with us. He was going to go back to Russia (or) he was going to go with another team, but he wasn’t going to be a second-string goalie for the rest of his life. So that was also a problem, and Paul made the best of the situation.
Yeah he wasn’t re-signing because you guys threw up all the messages on the wall. Probably saw how much of a clown Bryz was and heard about his huge contract he received and knew he was gonna fester on the bench while he was still younger and better than Bryz. -___-

I’ll still never understand how after the rookie year he had for us that we didn’t commit to him

Wait until you see who Holmgren traded on the same day 😬
