Difficult decision, but if the playoffs are THAT important for the Leafs (and they should be), then Matthews should likely be rested. The rest of the team should surely be able to pick up the slack without him, for these two effectively meaningless games now, no🤔?

Put Reaves in the lineup and if someone runs Matthew then Reaves runs their best. Retribution is a necessary evil.
Florida will try EVERYTHING to make sure he doesn't get a goal and hit 70. There that shallow.
Matthews' 70 is the perfect justification to keep the "smart" Leafs fanbase happy while getting another LOSS in the first or second round… given seems easier 70 now than success in playoffs, Leafs will push for that 70, to give the "smart" fans what they want

That being said, Matthews should play and if Florida tries to hurt any leaf, then we call up the biggest guy we can to hurt Bobrovsky in game 1.
