  1. Offensive wise, Colorado's defense is way better then ours, but I think we have the better defensive defense. Were not #1 in GA in the league for nothing. Super nervous for this series but I guess we will see

  2. Demelo is so under the radar reducing the risk of a clean shot at helly….need more like him!

  3. I think you are giving the Avs' defense too much credit. They were horrid on Saturday and without Makar, the Jets hammered them 6 – 2 at home earlier in the season. It is not all Georgiev's fault although he is not giving them Stanley Cup quality goaltending right now.

Lost 7 – 4 to Dallas, 6 – 2 to Edmonton, 7 – 0 at home to Winnipeg, and then gave up three in the third and lost in OT in Vegas 4 – 3. It is not just on the goaltenders.

Honestly, if the defense and goaltending don't show up for Colorado, this series could be over in 5. Helle still has to prove that he can carry this team to the Finals but the Avs aren't going to be able to hang 4+ goals on the Jets for four games.

  4. What will be telling is if the Jets fall behind by 2 or more goals in a game. This team plays great with a lead, but when they're behind, not so much. I asked this same question last year prior to their series with Vegas, and throughout this season. How will the Jets respond when punched in the mouth early and facing a deficit?

  5. Seattle beat the Avalanche last year, this Jets team is much better than that, I expect them to at least make it back to the conference finals

  6. The jets dog walked Colorado every game of the regular season, but Colorado's a playoff team with one of the best hockey players in the world; so I would take Colorado in 5 games. Hellebuyck is really hit or miss in the playoffs, he has had great runs and also not so great runs, the jets went all in this year but they lack veteran leadership and playoff experience. Avs in 5

  7. 9:47 I honestly think they can. Mackinnon is 6th in playoff P/GP all time, Rantanen 9th, and Makar is 2nd among defenseman all time (only behind a guy named Bobby Orr)

Even if georgiev is just an average goaltender the avs could win this series. It’ll be close but I’d love to see the jets win, but that might effect our underdog status 😔

  8. In the years past the Jets really sucked on home ice but I think this year will be different ,
Better coaching , all four lines have excellent scoring abilities and if they play a close checking game as they have recently and stay focused this team could be a real threat to go far in these playoffs . They have to stay healthy as well ! GO JETS GO !

  9. Colorado is built very similar to how the Leafs are…but only worse…They are heavy upfront with 1 superstar scorer, 2-3 really good supporting players and then drop off FAST after that. Their depth is essentially nonexistent. They have extremely poor goaltending in Georgiev, but because they don't have any other options, they had no choice but to overplay him this season, and their defense has zero structure in their own end….which is laughable considering they have one of the best defensemen in the league, but he's more of a offensive strength than defensive.

They got away with winning a Cup in 2022 with a slightly better goalie (but not by much) and more depth in Kadri, Burakovsky, Nichushkin, Byram, and a healthy Landeskog, but over the past two seasons they have only lost depth, gotten slower, and had to lean heavier on Mackinnon to carry them.

Jets have incredible depth, where you can take a guy out and whoever is slotting in will play lights out, the best goaltending in the league, and one of the best defense structures if they stick to the plan.

It won't be a blow out, but I'd be SHOCKED if it goes to 7 games.

  10. I wouldn't take Colorado lightly at all as they have the number one player in the league with 2nd in goals and 1st in overall points. The only thing I would add is that the Jets will take home ice advantage with and OT loss as well. It should be a great series if the Jets bring their A game. Good luck and congrats on making it this far.
