  1. About time kid should never have been extended to a five year deal. We should have drafted Konecy or Boeser. Classic sens pick.

  2. Thems the brakes Mr. Colin White. I wish they could have kept him for less money, but that’s not an option. Buying out a player is always admitting having made a mistake. Clearing this cap space pre-draft seems like they’re about to pull the trigger on something big. Let’s hope it’s not another mistake. The optics would have been a lot better if they also announced signing Norris to a long term deal. Im still holding out hope they draft Nemec, Jiricek, Kemell, or Gauthier

  3. Should have waited until Pierre McGuire got a job somewhere else. He would have traded a prospect for white lol. So glad Pierre McGuire is gone and Collin white as well. Weird that we signed a restricted free agent to such a bad contract when he never showed at any time that he was going to be a player in the NHL let alone a second line player.

  4. I'm happy to have the Albatros (or at least one of them – ZAITSEV) off our books. But as a player and person, I'll miss him. He seemed like a very popular guy amongst his peers. I've heard several of his teammates describe him as a loveable oddball type personality. A weird, goofy guy who was always able to lighten the mood by making people laugh.

Thank you for your service, Colin. And best wishes for success on your next team.

P.S. Anyone know if the Habs are still rumoured to be interested in acquiring him?

  5. Loved whitey as a person but as a player he wasn't living up to that deal. This is the right move
