Good god I will be conflicted during Saturday’s game against the Habs.
I’d rather the better pick/lottery odds, but fuck it’s nice beating the Habs

Praying for 4 straight losses. Long term goals > meaningless moral victories.

No way Jose… 18 wins ? Yikes

Salt Lake is winning the draft sadly

I’m so sick of these threads at the end of the year. Jacked to maybe get a good pick of course, but I’m tired of this “silver lining” cherry on a shit sundae of a season…
Hope they do better next year. My patience has worn thin.

Never been more invested in the Habs lol

Further encouragement for need of a rule like they came up with in the pwhl… Even though in the pwhl gonna be trash cus only 2 teams don’t make the playoffs.
For those who don’t know
Once your team gets mathematically eliminated from the playoffs your points reset. Team with the most points accumulated after being mathematically eliminated gets first pick, 2nd most gets 2nd etc. so it also still pushes the advantage to the worst teams who will end up out first and have more time to build up points
I think it accomplishes a few things. The obvious one being less tanking. I think it would probably still happen if 2 teams were close to being first out but less overall is good, moving it out of the end of the season if some has to happen is also good. Makes for a more entertaining end to the regular season as now the teams fighting for playoff spots aren’t picking up free wins on teams tanking and we have a second battle for the draft order of the teams who were in the bottom

We need to lose these remaining 4 games. Hopefully Montreal goes on a winning streak.

I’ll be happy if the habs beat the red wings, but that’s mainly because I don’t want detroit in the playoffs. I will always cheer for the sens against the habs. Sucks to watch meaningless games but sens habs is a fun matchup regardless.
Also, the draft lottery is such a shit show. We could take the 5th spot and watch them get the 1st or 2nd pick anyways. Vice versa could happen for us (I highly doubt it). Or some BS like SEA and NJ takes 1st and 2nd and we both go down 2 spots (somehow seems more likely).
I will never cheer for losses in a lottery system but I’ll admit I don’t care about the outcomes of TBL, NYR, and BOS.

We’re going to end up 8th

Doesn’t matter it’s whoever gets the fix in on the lottery this year. With a Shiny New Owner from the Old Boys Club.
I feel like the Conspiracy Bet favour us winning the lottery.

Sens are going to finish 5th last and move up to 3rd. Heard it here first
