EVGENY KUZNETSOV sent down to the AHL! #nhl #hockey #hockeynews

Evgeny Kuznetsov of the Washington Capitals has been sent down to the Hershey Bears, the Capitals’ minor league team in the AHL. This is a bit shocking, because Kuznetsov is a Stanley Cup Champion, and at one point in his career, was one of the NHL’s better players. It’s also shocking because this breaks the record for the largest contract in AHL history!

  1. That’s so f* ked that they can send someone of his status to a minor league team. Such a bad look for the Caps and the league.

  2. And now he just got his first goal with the canes!!! So happy to have him on our team…he brings some much grit and he just oozes energy. He’s already fitting in great…we have like 3 or 4 Russian guys already and one of them is Orlov who he spent Years with in Washington, KUZY, Guentzel and Necas on the same line is awesome!!

  3. Why you sayin ā€œHershey Bearsā€ like that’s a bad thing. Yeah it’s not the NHL but the Bears are thee best franchise in the AHL and have been for years. He’ll win a Calder there for sure

  4. Carey price with his 10.5 million cap hit was sent down to the AHL a few years back but alright lmao

  5. Carey Price went down for conditioning also after being out for a year, he makes over 10 million a year so you’re wrong!

  6. No, they sent him down to Hershey, so they could trade him. And he wouldn't get hurt playing in the A. H. L.

  7. Kutz needs a new team. He needs to get the fire he's been losing over the last few years. He's not that old. He's just too comfortable and doing this is disrespectful for the team to do this to him. He should have been traded
