Interesting observation from #NYR locker room: Filip Chytil has a new locker with all of his practice gear hanging it in. Haven’t seen his stuff in a while, so could be a sign he’s in town and doing some on ice work.

  1. Don’t do this to me. Dont get my hopes up.

I’m not expecting him to suit up at all, but I’m glad it seems like he’s back with the team. Not being able to go out and play obviously sucks, but he deserves to enjoy the playoff run and I’m sure it helps with the mental aspect of his recovery.

Chytil stanley cup winning goal, book it

I’m still in love with a comment I read on here recently. If possible we keep Wennberg for 3C and put Chytil on Zib/Kreiders wing. Feel like that makes our top 9 in great shape

  5. Beautiful news. Imagining a Chytil kakko Wennberg line is giving me chills. Massive long shot, but dam that’d be something.

I know the chances are slim but I would love to see him play in the playoffs

It very well may not be but if 3×3 is enough to get Wennberg to stay then next year I would really like to try Chytil as RW1

I am not a doctor. I don’t even play one on TV. But I read this article about concussion science recently that said the whole “lie in a dark room” thing is not helpful and even could hurt recovery. So I’m really happy Fil is working out because it could be really important for his healing. No chance he’s coming back this year, I just want the dude to have a good life and I’m hopeful this helps.

He absolutely will not play this season but it’s a great sign that he’s skating! It must be good for both him and the guys to have him around the locker room.

While I don’t think he’s going make a comeback(believe me, I wish he was playing), but having him and Wheels a still around the team is something amazing. The togetherness feeling is tears of joy 🥹 vibes

  11. I teared up reading this. I hope he’s getting healthy and just want the absolute best for him, whatever that looks like!

No one should expect to see him this season. Incredibly medically irresponsible even if he IS and has been symptom free. He’s going to need an extended period – perhaps a full year if not more of being symptom free and returning to non-hockey physical activities before doctors should even contemplate giving him a green light to returning to practices. And even then, he should be in a non-contact jersey for a period of time as well.

This is so nice to see. I just hope he heals. The name Michael Sauer and what ifs still bother me all these years later.

    Health first. Hockey second.

  14. …this is our Willis reed moment. I don’t want filip to rush back but the energy this would bring to the team…

    This is stupid.

Shut him down for the year.

    They are asking for trouble.

  16. njerejeje

No chance he plays but it would be nice to get him skating in practice before the offseason. Maybe he can sit on the bench as a scratch lol

  17. IntergalacticPlane

What are the rules for suiting up and sitting with the team even if you aren’t on the active roster? Obviously he can’t play but he can be there with the team? If not suited up with a jersey, can he be there in a suit like a coach?

  18. TheIncredibleHork

He takes the first faceoff of the Stanley cup championship and, win lose or draw, goes right to the bench. He’s played a game, we can get him on the cup.

Mostly bring facetious here. Rest up and heal up Filda, that’s the most important part.
