Which teams will take the final two playoff spots in the East? How have the Islanders and Penguins found themselves back in the hunt? TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins SC with Jay Onrait to share his thoughts.

I truly don't understand the rhetoric about the Red Wings. It's like no one trying to analyze the playoff race watches them but pretends otherwise. They had a lot of horrid of games in the last quarter of the season, yes, especially with that losing streak. A flu tore through the team AND Larkin (their best player) was out for awhile. No shit they fell off, they were playing horribly. Now they're playing much better and losing to mostly really good teams and playing a lot of them close. Since March, they lost to two bad teams (Arizona x2 and Buffalo x1). All of the other losses were playoff teams and many of them close as I said before. Director of Scouting everyone but the Red Wings apparently.
One of them has got to be going to Detroit! It’s almost not fair how much easier there games are going to be. Then, there is the Penguin’s which is just like another league up! No offense to Montreal fans! Keep on reaching f😢that rainbow in the sky!

The Penguins play both the red wings and islanders so our future is within our control.
Washington for weeks now have been tanking games with their priorities being to set up ovechkin. Shameful!
I'd love for Pittsburgh to have one last run with that core but have you seen their remaining schedule ?
