I was just listening to the Washington Capitals game and Brooks Orpik came on the radio to congratulate a player about some thing. It was so bizarre. I guess he’s still doing player development for them with the Hershey bears, but man he is more of a Pittsburgh Penguin to me than so many other players. The man was drafted in the dark ages, developed a few years before Sid and lasted through the transition to help us to 2 appearances and a championship. hearing him chime in on Washington DC radio felt so gross. He’s always gonna be a part of Pittsburgh to me.
