Lightning fans and players know exactly who Bunting is. Bunting saved Geno. I still can't believe Dubas didn't sign Bunting as a UFA last offseason. Bunting = perfect fit. Replaces Kunitz, Hornqvist, Gary Roberts style of play.
No way he would make it on a top line in Carolina. Crazy to think how much talent is wasted just because they don't get a good enough chance. Dubas basically found him in a trash can and now he plays like a star with Malkin and Crosby. Who would have thought he would be 100x better match for Geno than a cup winner Reilly Smith.
Who would've thought that Bunting would make us forget about Jakey in a matter of weeks..of course not FORGET because #59 was awesome for us and a great Penguin but Bunting's personality and energy is really what the doctor ordered!

Bunting is obviously not the player Guentzel is, but that being said, he's been one of the best and most consistent players since he got here.

Geno def gets lonely, parents haven't been in USA for 5 years, wife lives with son in a different city (why?).
