Should make for an entertaining home stretch to the season, always nice when games 75+ actually matter.

Also inb4 someone complains about OT loss points and how they ruin the game or something

Still amazed how the pens are even here

    Idc who wins

I need the Redwings to lose

A lot of this is a combo of two items. The rest of the bubble teams have sucked, but the Pens have been in the top ten in terms of XG for quite a few models for most of the season. They aren’t doing much different, it’s just the puck is going in and Ned is the anti Jarry. He may have a rough game, but seems to come up with crucial saves late where Jarry would have diarrhea running down his leg. TLDR, the Pens are better than their point total based on most metrics and the east reeks.

I think its crazy how Pittsburgh traded guentzel and could’ve used him for this playoff stretch.

I got to say: this is one of the most interesting season to watch in a long time.

The final 2 days of the season are about to be absolute cinema. Flyers vs Caps next Tuesday, with Pens vs Isles on the Wednesday. If detroit continues to fall apart, it could easily just become two play-in games.

Seems like each team controls their own destiny in a way

Damn Pit is going to sneak in? That’s crazy

The penguins hold the tie breaker for the three teams below them in the standings for this wildcard race 🙂

it’s kinda funny seeing the islanders in a division spot while also maintaining one of the worst goal differentials in the league

The Flyers finishing 17-20th every season really is the worst case scenario

Can’t Tampa still be knocked out? Let’s say the Caps win out to finish with 94 and the Pens win their last 5 in regulation they will have 93 points with 36 regulation wins vs TB losing out having 93 points with 35 regulation wins. Can someone let me know what I’m missing? Thank you!

Holy fuck the East is brutal. A whole pack of teams below .500 (yes I count OT losses) fighting for a playoff spot. Woof.

The Flyers edged me all season just to fucking blow it these last games
