“Juraj Slafkovsky started the season with 2 assists in his first 15 games. He wasn’t playing very good hockey…Nick Suzuki, being the leader that he is, went into MSL’s office & said: ‘Put him on my line. I’m gonna help teach him to play the right way on both sides of the ice” – Kevin Bieksa

Youngest captain in franchise history, never missed a game, already a fucking Habs legend.

This sounds fake, I can’t lie. I cannot imagine Suzuki walking up to MSL unprompted and just saying “I’m going to teach him to play *the right way*”. Maybe I’m wrong.

Let’s pleeeeeease build a proper team around this guy so we don’t have another price situation on our hands.

Nick Suzuki is an absolute gigachad and was the perfect choice for the captaincy

didnt think i could love him any more.. but here we are

He just wanted Josh Anderson off his line lol

This is another reason why we won’t end up like the Sabres or Sens. We have great leadership in this team and responsibilities were acquired organically. Also, that 21 SCF is gonna be huge for us. Caufield and especially Suzuki have seen what it’s like to put everything on the line at the highest level.

Big up to Suzuki, legendary stuff.

Someone have a clip of this segment ?

They were talking about the importance of having an older captain. Suzuki is evidence that’s not always the case!I’ve this team..

See, even though he’s right about how great Slaf became point wise with Suzuki, he’s wrong about slaf not playing good hockey ealier this year.

Slaf made great passes, was insane on board play and had the same good vision.

Everything went to shit because of anderson that kept losing the puck or missing the net on many play.

The only real thing that changed is his shot that got way better.

I hate that journalists that are supposed to watch games push that narrative.
