The real issue is how to upgrade the Leafs Core 4 to prevent their continuous playoff disappointments. Changing the Leafs lineup is a good start in upgrading the Leafs Core 4. 😀The Leafs Core 4 did fail in their development- I agree with you.
Holmberg/Kampf/Dewer – three great 4Cs – not convinced any of them can play 3C. Def something to address this summer.

I've been thinking hours over this.
One thing I'd like them to try before playoffs arrive is a tall 1st line of Bert-Matthews-Bob
JT and Holmberg can switch C to LW on 2nd.
I know Max has been clicking up there, but
a) have a tall line of snipers
b) Max is a team-guy, he'll spark cold Mitch
Ideal defensive pairings best corresponding in brackets:
59 34 74 – (46 – 44)
91 29 88 – (37 – 2)
89 11 16 – (22 – 20)
24 64 75 – (37 – 2)
So let Mitch have a shoot-first mentality and set him up on a fun-line with Domi and Robertson. (All three not tall, but feisty enough, might do great in countering/rush.)

Marner should be on 3rd line he has struggled and is coming back from injury makes way more sense to move Marner who is better defensive also to third line not Willy!
Tavares is a “dynamic goal scorer” ? Common guys you can’t actually believe this. The guys been terrible this season.
All there doing is trying to get Marner acquainted back into the lineup so he gets going again and then he’ll be back on the top line.

Matthews chances of getting 70 goals may not be as good without Marner on his line.
