Fight starts for no reason after massive collision
Steven Stamkos accidentally collides with Brandon Hagel and Mikey Eyssimont thinks it was Arber Xhekaj that did it. Eyssimont then tried to fight Xhekaj and received a double-minor for doing so.
This makes me wonder though every time there is a breakaway why doesn't the defending team start a fight to negate the breakaway and prevent a goal from being scored?
Why is this not instigation? Because that is stiffer then just a 2 minute minor I guess and god forbid the rules be enforced. The NHL officials make CFL officials look good.
Gotta love the homer announcer. "He has no idea what Essyimont is thinking" Because hes SUCH a homer, that he isnt even trying to see it from the lightning perspective. Two guys down, and they're about to start an oddman rush chance in a 6-4 game.
So he shuts the play down, right as they have a guy going all alone on the goalie.
Kinda looks like the Bolts players took each other out! The Habs didn't 1:41 't do anything for that fight to start!! Bolts got that all wrong – & I'm a Bolts fan!!I agree with announcers it was the correct call. Also agree Abner's gonna make sure he gives the Bolts their due!

Ya it’s a penalty on tampa but there was a breakaway for the Habs when the whistle blew. Lost a scoring opp.
What's insane is calling the play dead on a scoring chance like this.
