What are the line pairings, they seem different every game and end the game different than the started. Teams very very meh against real competitors lately.
This team is absolutely not a contender, and you'd have to be delusional to think they are. 1 win in 7 games against top 3 teams in the west 4 wins in 15 games against the top 7 teams in the league. They are going to get absolutely embarrassed in the playoffs. Another wasted season
Its important to keep defensive pairs together for familiarity but its not for forwards??
Please put kane and hyman on mcdavids line. Without Kane scoring we are not a dangerous team. If kane, perry and adam dont score we arent well balanced.
Did you see Bouchard’s giveaway with 45 seconds left? It won’t make the highlights but it was a highlight for me . Sit him and bring in Stetcher who at least shows some hustle.
Oilers 14-16-4 against top 15 teams. Knoblauch loves his Connor Brown. Who is too easy to play against. Ryan and Holloway are much better. No cup with this kind of coach. Remember even the win streak only contains 2 wins against playoff bound teams. Want a cup for McDavid but this team is not ready. Probably out in the first round. Vegas is better that Knoblauch team.

Looked like the team was reverting to JAY WOODCROFT. You can’t play like that Especially now going down the stretch. Who knows , the OILERS MIGHT SEE THE STARS in the playoffs and instead of lighting up stars , they will be seeing stars. leon draisaitl looks real old out there. Sluggish. Sluggish performance on his end over the last couple of games. His career is not over yet. WTF is going on here. It’s like he’s skating on quick sand. Everything by him is a huge effort. Hello Leon draisaitl … wake up! Terrible game by Nurse. Pinching is an absolute no no. There were 3 on 1s 2 on 1s allowed by our defense especially nurse… maybe KNOB you send a message and bench him. Call up kids if NURSE can’t handle it. Bench other defenseman. If this is the way he’s ( nurse) going to play then trade him in the offseason. This type of lazy defense can cost us in the playoffs and Stanley Cup if we are fortunate enough to get there. Same for RNH and KANE. Kane isn’t gambling again. Pickard was picked apart by the STARS. I love you McDAVID but enough of the figure 8 skating. Shoot the puck. Have Corey Perry stand in front of the net to shield the goalie. Just shoot the puck. The guys played like they didn’t care. They played drunk.THEY PLAYED LIKE THEY DID UNDER JAY WOODCROFT. Ouch!!!

Honestly it was a horrible game. One i hoped they would be more competitive in. That being said the oilers did beat this team before this season. Losing and having a bad game is not unrealistic. People shouldn't write off the season and playoffs because of this 1 game. But admittedly, it looks concerning that they could have such a breakdown in the second that the game was already put to bed even before third period. Coach needs to be able to find ways to stop the bleeding early. Even better fight back and play defensive until it's over.
The Oilers outside a few players are slow especially that 2nd line. Drai's a power forward with great passing and shooting but needs some skilled speedy wingers with some finish and has needed them for almost 10 years now but I have a feeling this offseason will prove it to be a little too late. And I wouldn't hold it against 29 or 97 if they chose to leave
Knoblauch keeps trying to find the right combination in line pairing and it isn’t working. They pick up and implement over the hill guys like Henrique and Perry. The Oilers are still McDavid, Draisatl and now Hyman with Ekholm on D and Bouchard most of the time that do anything. This team isn’t going to win the cup as much as I would like them to. Maybe Kris will find the right combination before the playoffs.
Game after game it's the same scenario: Draisaitl makes a turnover and the opposing team scores. Draisaitl (-2) is very bad at faceoffs and it makes the Oilers game even worse. In addition to Draisaitl, Bouchard also loses the puck frequently at the blue line or in the Oilers zone. A $9 million man Nurse ( – 3!) is worth a lot less based on how he plays. What to expect from the 70% of Oilers mediocre players like McLeod and the goalies? Answer: not much. Once the opposing team deals with McDavid and Hyman, the Oilers team is "done". 🤑pathetic Oilers😂
WOW! We will learn from this and be better for it?????? WTF there are only 10 games left. We are going NOWHERE in the playoffs again. Losses to Dallas Colorado Toronto and even St Louis! Our defence is a joke. Bouchard and Nurse getting caught up ice again and again.

Bouchard and Ceci were awful. Ek took stupid penalty. And RNH was laughing in the penalty box sitting next to NURSE. It’s not funny!
