  1. I still think this year is successful in a sense that we did better last year. I can see tho after all the FA signings that expectations were high. I'm on the boat to give Lalonde a chance next year to prove his worth. I'd love to see what a full year of Simon Edvinsson can do under Lalonde.

  2. 🤣🤣😭😭😭😂😂. Bud. You’re killing me here.

The speculation is at an all time high.

  3. Would like to get federov because of the history , Lalonde finally moving around players is a good sign. Expecially for our defensive matchups.

  4. lets look at the things we know about Steve Yzerman and his tenure with the Red Wings.

    1. He's patient, a lot more patient than some wings fans like, and I think if Steve Yzerman wanted a win now coach he would have simply hired one over Newsy, why give a first time head coach a chance, then become impatient when he makes mistakes? it seems unlike Yzerman.

    2. he runs a tight lipped organization. this means there are little rumors reported by sources that are even remotely accurate. I don't like to look into rumors that suggest Yzerman's thought process because its impossible to know regardless of sources, and it comes off like these sources are grasping at straws.

    Lets talk about Jeff Petry
Anyone remember Marc Staal? He was acquired from the Rangers, and the interesting thing there was Staal had a NTC or a NMC. He waived his clause on the condition he would be able to play minutes in Detroit. Jeff Petry has a M-NMC. So I think its far more likely that there is a similar agreement with Petry.

    And finally regrading Sergei Fedorov.

I don't think anyone understands the current relationship between the red wings and Fedorov. Could contract negotiations have been so horrid and toxic that Fedorov and the front office of the red wings wouldn't even consider talking to him? isn't that a bit unlikely? Isn't it a bit childish to think there is still a grudge there? I think if there is a bit of animosity between the organization and Fedorov it could all be squashed if the organizations offers to host a jersey retirement honoring Fedorov, because everyone knows he deserves it. This is the kind of thing that reporters can't accurately report on. There is no way to know the relationship between these two parties.

  5. 1. Gallant, 2. DJ Smith/Bob Boughner. 3. Berube. 4. Quenneville knows Kane and Debrincat. Federov held out his contract in 98, and left in 02 to Anaheim turning down our offer. Not to mention his rivalry with Stevie. The same reason he wont be coach in Detroit is the same reason he wont be retired. Hell if I have to get a KHL coach give me Larionov. Why get a coach from the 3rd best league in the world? Or, Mike Keenan, he won the Gagarin Cup and a Stanley Cup lol

  6. I would say let Lalonde cook for one more year. He did win two cups with Tampa and we are still in the mix for now. We need to get rid of the dump and chase play style, return to the Russian 5 dominating puck passing possession play style & upgrade a few players to be deep run contenders. If things don't work out with the current coaching, do whatever it takes to bring Federov home. might take a ton of money and sports cars to do it. Retire #91, and that will jumpstart our next cup run. LGRW!

  7. Blashill was saddled with a poor roster and poor drafts from the Holland era, minimal UFA signings.

Lalonde is saddled with poor UFA signings not living up to their contract.

SY probably will give it 2 more years or this really appears like a bad GM move.

  8. There's only 1 correct answer, and that's Gerard Gallant.. He's a Red wings draft pick / alum, and played with Stevey Y. He should be coach now, not the guy pretending to be

  9. IF, and this is a big if, Lalonde might actually get removed as coach this offseason, sure. Why not Berube? I trust the Yzerplan. From what I understand, Chris Ilitch gave Stevie the freedom to bring in whoever he thinks would be the best for the job. If that's Berube, Fedorov, or even the ghost of Sid Abel, it's gonna happen.

  10. Nonsense 😂😂😂

Edit… Alex Tanguay is ultimately responsible for PP as the Power Play coach. Not Lalonde

  11. This is kind of click bait lego. But while I'm here can you please start pronouncing Simon Edvinsson's name properly? His name is Simon the common name Simon, it's not Seemoanee as you have been pronouncing it.

  12. What are you talking about? Lalande is the greatest coach that ever coached in the history of hockey. Just look at the comments section. Poor guy is just saddled with bad players, that’s all.
