Doesn’t help when some of the guys in the room seem to get a flu once a month.
Let’s get these guys some rest and feeling better so they are ready for playoffs. GLG!
At least it’s happening now and not later. We’re not likely to fall out of a playoff spot at this point, I’d rather rest everyone who needs it, accept some regular season losses, and go into the playoffs healthy as a wild card than push guys to play when they’re not 100% and stumble into the playoffs as the three seed.
Can’t remember who said it exactly but they said staying healthy in the NHL was a skill and the guys who have the best iron man streaks are obviously very good at it.
It’s late in the season, everyone is probably dealing with injuries. Personally I’d rather have shorter seasons so I can actually watch the superstars play a full season. 82 games for such a physical sport is overkill. Add the playoffs and you’re potentially looking at over 100 games year in and year out. It’s insane.
Leafs have had the flu all season long, it seems. Plagued with injuries all year and guys missing time.

Simple. We put Murray, woll, Sammy and Jones out on the ice. One in net the the other 3 can play defense. Couldn’t be any worse than our D the past few games…
One of those game time decisions will be Papi who’s fighting an illness.
