How’s Petry going to screw us tonight?
Tonight will be a huge test. We know exactly what Carolina will do (hard forecheck, aggressive puck pressure, activated D defensively to shift the game up ice, lots of man-to-man defense). Everyone knows this entering the game. Players need to move the puck confidently and decisively. If we sit around and hold the puck looking for the perfect play, or try to force to much individually, we will suffer. If we move the puck decisively and establish a flow, we can break them down and/or draw penalties. Carolina’s entire game is based on shrinking the ice and shrinking usable space, so we simply have to take it before their players can, simple as that. Everyone will know this but they must execute.

If I had a nickel for every time a Kunlun Red Star player (KHL/China) played for the Griffins at some point I would have 30¢. Which is actually kind of a lot if you think about it.
Does anyone else like clicking around on Elite Prospects and seeing players in different countries/leagues around the world?
Ugh, have to root for the Leafs again tonight. Although at this point we just need to win games or the rest won’t matter.

Welp, here we go again. Hopefully seeing the Griffins clinch maybe fired them up just enough to not start the game dead like usual. I don’t know if there’s another team in the league that has to slowly wake up through a game like we do, it’s very weird.
I just want them to score the first goal. It seems like they’re chasing every game and that just kills them.
I know our griffins prospects don’t have the most glamorous numbers on the season but just remember that majority of the points they have been getting have come from the 2nd half of the season (lmao this is purely speculation because it just feels like they’ve been on another level since Jan. 1) Marco Kasper and Elmer Soderblöm playing on the same line has been incredible. Albert Johansson is 100% the best defenseman on the team. Antti Tuomisto should also be getting back onto everyone’s radar. He has had a great first year in the AHL.
