No silly trades, we have all we need.
PLD trade handcuffed Blake to not be able to do anything at this years trade deadline as Austin said. And PLD will be the one that gets Blake fired at the season’s end unless; The Kings make the playoffs and they get pass the 2nd round. Otherwise he’s fired and should be ! Last WHY WHY WHY can’t Trevor Lewis ever sit out a game here or there ?
He never can close and get those timely goals when needed… If Brandt Clarke was going to be scratched in favor of Spence i’d rather see Clarke play wing than Lewis. I know Lewis does other things that don’t appear in points column…. But dang he sucks burying the puck when we most need him too.

I'd add JAD to the trade list… There's nothing in his game that anyone from Ontario can't do better… There were opportunities to get a better player in the draft and Blake went for it as Charlie Brown does a football…
I think Trevor would have sat more had there not been injuries to his linemates…but his time without the puck is greater than those with it…having stone hands…

Being a real cup contender is still a possibility for me. If they get healthy and fine tune their play i would be confident in LA against any team out there.

Dont need to do anything. Need to get PLD on a line with Byfield and get Kaliev back in the fold. Kempe and hopefully Arvi ready for the playoffs. Need to keep our first round picks

My guess 1st round and out and we couls use this cap trick here for sure people will retain some salary in trades but i dont think what we need is necessarily out there we really needed that center position to pan out its not really worked that well obviously playoffs can be different but best guess not making it 2 round 2
We have the players to win. Its up to the players. Spence and Clarke need to both be in the lineup even when Mikey comes back.
I'd play Kopitar less until the postseason. Hes a machine but averaging 20 minutes a night at 36 may wear him down come playoffs. Play him about 17-18 minutes a night the rest of the way, let Danault play 20+ a night, and have Dubois at around 17-18 a night. Keep Kopitar as fresh as possible.
Always thought Blake traded for the wrong Jet though (Hellebuyck)
Austin's take was more of a take on reality if the kings don't end up putting all their pieces together at the right time.. kings are among the elite teams still..
