At the end of the day, if you see the other team deploying this strategy, you still have to find a way to beat them whether you like it or not.
whack-a-mole
And the Kings are built around this approach. May not be the most exciting way to play but it requires a lot of practice and discipline to do well.

Watching those Kings game were brutal. I wish they just banned the neutral zone trap it is so boring to watch.

And yet they manage to outscore us every time

I just interpreted this as that the Kings play boring hockey, which they do. It’s effective and it’s exactly what you need for the playoffs, but it’s painful to watch. We’re a good team though, we’ll find a way to beat that style.

Got scored on three times while sitting back and not playing hockey?

Dump the puck and hammer the D into the boards, problem solved

Big Z defines this perfectly.
I barely watched that game it was so boring. A 7 game playoff series against the Kings would be a snooze fest I’m not sure I could stomach.

Kind of a bad look not sure I get why he’d go public with this. You’re the better team; figure out how to beat it.

I find it kinda funny how out of all the guys saying this, it’s the huge defensive defenseman
Like didn’t he find his most success playing the same system under Sutter (who happened to coach the 2012 Kings)

Find a way to counter it. As a professional hockey player and a professional org with coaches I know you have it in you!
De_Floppss
Is it boring? absolutely at least against us
Does it work? absolutely.
At the end of the day its up to the coaches and boys to break the 1-3-1
