I think Sid genuinely needs a new environment at this point in his career. Considering what he's brought to this franchise, the Pens should do everything and anything to trade him to a legitimate Cup contender. He'll never win another Cup in Pittsburgh; that has become painfully obvious.
Very sad about Francouz. He was one of the most underrated goalies in the NHL that I've ever seen. He was great, and you could tell by his interviews that he is a delightful guy. So glad that he at least got his name on the cup. He deserved it. He took a nice discount on his last contract to help keep the Avs competitive. Glad he gets to sail off into the sunset doing whatever makes him happy now. He'll always be fondly remembered by Avs fans.
It makes me think of Mike Comrie, who's father owns The Brick and was apparently a complete prima donna. He was drafted by his hometown Oilers but demanded a trade because he wanted to play in a "big city." As an Isles fan, I couldn't wait to see him leave.
If Hyman was gifted with so many more opportunities then other kids then y did Hyman go in the fifth or sixth round in his draft year

Facts 💯….as someone who subscribes to NHL center ice just so I can watch every single Leafs game, every single year..I watched Hyman play with the Leafs a lot. You won't find a nicer human being or a harder worker than Zach Hyman 💯 as someone who was upset to watch him walk to the Oilers in free agency, im really happy for him and his success and I assure you, I speak for a lot of people when I say he is missed in Toronto.

People criitisize Pit for trading for Karlsson, but the real problem is Letang, and his boat anchor of a contract. His defence is average at best, but his offence has diminished. Why? Because Karlsson has his slot in the lineup. They will change the supporting cast first, then start swapping out core players in 2 years.

It is a surprise to me, to hear a guy giving an rent of Zach Hyman coming from a rich family. I have heard these in different sports, like F1. We have Lance Stroll, which is a Canadian. His father is a billionaire in Canada. He bought the team that Lance drives with. Media in the F1 have been going over crazy that his father help him and he is not a good driver. So hearing this of hockey is a shock. Hockey is every expensive for any family that have fix income. To have a Father will money is going to help any kid in the game. So this guy saying these thing about Hyman.
Personally I don't think any of the names mentioned in the Habs rumours are upgrades to what the team has. At most they will be side grades and not worth the effort unless they can get them on the super cheap.

When Toronto didn’t retain Hyman I said it was a mistake they should have moved on from Marner or Nylander and kept Hyman.
Like Kyle Connor in Winnipeg Hyman is just that guy. When you need it they find a way to make it count. In a lot of ways Hyman reminds me of Mike Gartner.
Two things can be true at once. He wouldn’t be in the NHL if he didn’t work his ass off. Also he definitely would not be in the NHL if his parents weren’t rich.

Which part of that is false exactly? If you are a hard worker but your parents cant afford hockey, your road to the NHL is almost impossible, this is a fact. I dont understand why ppl are up in arms about it, all he said was it takes more than hard work and Zach Hyman didnt just have hard work on his side which is the part thats always omitted from these stories, none of this is false like wtf…

Unless they can move guys like Gallagher or Anderson, none of those UFAs make sense for the Habs. All it does is logjam the middle of the roster with players who have similar skill sets to the young players competing for jobs next year like Beck, Heineman, etc. Really good young player for the top 6 makes sense, but if we go after a UFA forward, Hughes needs to shoot higher then the players you mentioned
