The Chicago Blackhawks got punished with a bag skate from Coach Luke Richardson despite an incredible comeback win against the San Jose Sharks and this video talks more about it. #hockey #nhl #connorbedard
Bag skating isn't always a punishment, sometimes its just to shake off a bad game. A little bit odd to do it after a win, but it might just be something they did to put the poor start in the rear view mirror.
After watching most of Bedard's games this video confirms that he is likely the slowest guy on the team. You can see in games he has trouble keeping up in the back checking and fore checking. I put this all down to lack of aggression or doodling but it's much more fundamental than that. He hass zero break away speed down ice offensively. It's gonna be tough to be a perrenial 50+ scorer mainly shooting from the slot or 50ft out and scoring mostly man down powerplay goals. I like this kid but still not sure if he can be the generational talent he's being made out to be in a NHL that is much bigger, stronger, tougher and faster than him.

Thanks for these little videos … And that's why i admire the kid.
I found out yesterday that Richardson was the player that Dino Cicereli attacked with his stick.
These people are so full of themselves 😂

Kind of odd that he skated "a few extra inches" but trailed his teammates by several feet..
One of my first teams I join we did this and a couple ppl did puke
its not called bag skate because you throw up in a bag, its called a bag skate because there is not puck bag brought to the ice at all.
Not an interesting move at all. Overdue. They needed a wake up call. Millionaires playing like college players.
