Erik Johnson hit on Brad Marchand – Have your say!

Brad Marchand was mad this hit by Erik Johnson wasn’t called a penalty. So mad in fact that he got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for conplaining so much. Does he have a case? Have your say!

  1. I could certainly see a kneeing penalty, but Erik Johnson doesn’t really move his knee. He's set for the hit. The only thing he really sticks out is his elbow to connect with the body so i sort of feel like Brad Marchand does it to himself.

I wouldn't have called the penalty since Brad got up and kept playing.

  2. I don’t think it was intentional. Marchand moved to his right and Johnston followed his movement. 2 minute minor.

  3. If you ignore the dirty plays by Marchand, and that’s hard to do, he’s really a good hockey player. I’m sure he’d be a fan favorite on whatever team he’s on. (I’m not a fan of his nonsense either)

  4. And people wonder why hockey fans are considered to be uneducated thugs. Well…many of them are…these comments prove that.

  5. With all the non-called and called filthy stuff Marchand has done, especially clipping, (knowing he would be protected by his teammates), it is hysterical to watch him complain to the officials. Pobrecito…

  6. Idc if you love or hate the guy knee collisions are exceptionally dangerous. This is not a tough call its a penalty. I wouldn't wish a knee injury on anyone since I've had my fair share

  7. Looks like Johnson was lining up a pretty standard body check along the boards but had to adjust his angle at the last second when Marchand started to cut inside. Remember these guys are on skates so when you plant a foot it doesn't take much to make it slide. Inadvertent knee contact on a hit clearly meant to hit the torso.

  8. Looks good on him! He gets way with so much crap! Dirtiest player in the NHL by far!

  9. 2 minutes, it wasn’t egregious. Looks like it was knee on thigh to me. Refs missed it, move on.
