Kuzmenko never got a chance in Vancouver this season because of his defensive game and he doesn't fit in the Flames system. The way Kuzmenko views the game isn't that dissimilar from Huberdeau. The Flames offensive scheme and typical zone entries don't fit either of their games and at this point it's a fault of the teams front office that they acquire players that don't fit the scheme… and they don't change the scheme. If they keep him in the same role with the same scheme this year his numbers will not change, they have to let him play his game or he will not succeed or be worth what they will want in a trade.

We love kuzy in calgary hope we at least wait til trade deadline next year if him n team r doing good and wants to stay for a fair deal keep him, if not then trade
Kuzy has missed a lot of games. Has not found his groove yet.
Kuzmenko can bounce back. 39 goals last season shows he's got some level of talent. Hopefully it's just the sophomore slump. Not a Flames fan, but still rooting for Kuzzy.
Heres a trade idea. Oilers trade Campbell, Lavoie for Kuzmenko.
I dont think flames ever had an intention of extending Kuzmenko. He was a salary dump in order to make the Lindholm deal possible. The true pieces of that deal are the 1st pick (likely 23rd overall) and Brzustewicz.
What if he goes to NJ to play with Hughes Bros? 😆
