Lost count of how many times Kuch has made 3 stars of the week
cool now where out kulikov, ekblad and stolarz out great great this is amazing WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE BARKOV AND RINE TOO
Love it when it gets closer to the playoffs, you can always tell that Shannon is getting excited too. You can tell just with his tone and what hes saying.
Tofoli should be one of the three stars
Over the glass often leads to 5 on 3, very good chance of deciding the game.
They said Marner is day-to-day from being day-to-day
I think that EVERYTHING should be challengeable but they should all have a 60 second limit……..
For some reason, the Leafs play a lot better when they’re down players. Their records without players like Matthews or Rielly is insane. It’s almost as if they need some kind of hinderance for everyone to buy in, and it’s really weird.
Another review which takes far too long is "Did the puck cross the goal line?". The tech is there for the puck's precise position to be known at all times.
No game preview tonight???
How long before the Leafs finally say "shut Marner down until the playoffs"? We're seeing Vegas do it with Stone. Probably means Marner will (or should) miss the first game of the playoffs if that ends up being the case.
I hope they give us the behind the scenes of a third or fourth liner or a journey man just so we get to see all aspects of the game
30 seconds. You can't tell if it is offside or not, or out directly over the glass or not? It's not. Move on. No more ok that guy was getting on the bench 85' away from this, it's offside. Intent is there. He's not playing the puck. Let the game happen.
Ugh, shuddering about this behind the scenes idea of the NHL. Hope they have NOTHING to do with it other than allow it because they'll screw it up like they do everything else to "promote" the game.
Tampa Bay already looks hot. If they keep this up going into the playoffs AND get their star defensemen Mikhail Sergachev back then I don’t wish any team face them in the playoffs.
I'd want to be a goalie just to be able to keep all my teeth. If I was an NHL player and I had 3 of my teeth smashed out by a puck just one time, I'd retire the next day.
No news on Hertl?
Please. For the love of got. Bring back Illya Bryzgalov for that series
Doc series sounds right up my alley
8:54 I can't think of anyone from Tampa that would be interesting besides maybe Stamkos. Vasy's English is not the greatest so he probably wouldn't be the goaltender you choose. Kucherov is a character but probably wouldn't want to be on the show (he's in a local car dealership commercial and looks so uncomfortable. Also, his press conferences are usually 1 word answers to questions, unless he's drunk lol. I get the feeling that he's a little more introverted, and that's ok but he wouldn't be a good fit because of that). One underrated pick might be a young 4th liner who's struggling to show he belongs in the NHL.
Who I would feature:
– Igor Shesterkin
– Austin Matthews
– Alexander Barkov
– Cale Makar
– The young 4th liner idea I mentioned earlier
– A major player who signed with a new team in the offseason
– A Pending UFA with no NTC/NMC from a rebuilding team, such as Ivan Provorov or Frank Vatrano.
They made one of those on my College Football team one season. It was the coach's first season and they had a ridiculous amount of injuries that year, so it was very interesting. Anyway, the last game of the season was the rivalry game. So you got to answer the question "Do the players actually care about the rivalries?" Spoiler alert, I quote from the show "I know they're just another conference opponent but something about them… I don't know. I don't like them"
When is the 1000 games for oshie video coming? Include something about him playing for Warroad, MN.
They should scrap the puck over glass penalty and just make it so that the offending team doesn't get to change their line.
Fun fact: the Lightning play by play guy (Peckham) accidentally called Kucherov "Dmitri Kucherov" as he scored his first career goal as well
I would watch behind the scenes if it would come from Netflix. Won't start paying many streaming services every month
Lindgren always seems to get rocked and hurt but he’s rarely out injured lol what a maniac
Puck over glass should just be an opposite zone faceoff. When is it ever intentional? Never seen anyone do it on purpose. If they do try to abuse it to force faceoffs (i.e. more than once in a few minutes), then give them a delay of game penalty.
Its not gonna happen but I think Juraji Slafkovsky would be a wonderful choice.
30 seconds is long enough for a coach to challenge ANY call on the ice. Coaches have been extending the time they take by far too much lately.
The drama is 2 new expansion teams! Lol
I think that they should not review offsides calls. Put it in the hands of the officials, who will be trained thoroughly in that call.
Usually there is no way that the 0.65 inches of offsides was the crucial element of a scored goal.
I'm in favor of allowing any penalty to be reviewable, even minor penalties, and plays to be reviewable in order to issue a penalty for cases where the ref didn't see it, but all reviews need a hard, short time limit of one or two minutes max. If you can't decide in that time limit, then you go with the call on the ice, even if it later turns out to be wrong or something gets missed.
I'm not surprised it has taken them this long to do a documentary. The NHL is late on everything.
Drive to survive F1 is amazing an NHL equivalent would be great for the sport
That Bolts jersey is dope. (They’re one of my top 2 fav teams.).
Why can't we have an official in booth doing a quick review on puck over the glass
The review calls are stupid past 30 seconds, perhaps 1 minute. It is disrespectful towards the players. They cannot take back their actions "sorry, i missed the shot, can I try again, rewind time". I would rather have some sort of technical goal or penalty shot than just take the game 5+ minutes back.
The documentary that I want to see is behind the scenes of behind the scenes.
Two games feels reasonable. It was a nasty head hit on the one hand, on the other hand he held his arm in.
Your content is like a ray of sunshine in the vast sea of the internet. Keep spreading the positivity!
I hope they pick goalies for the docu, often the greatest characters indeed
I will definitely be watching
I still can't understand why coaches get to use slowmo video before deciding to challenge plays. Isn't the whole point of a coaches challenge to challenge obvious mistakes by referees?
I absolutely love the "behind the B" series from the Bruins so another behind the scenes would be awesome
Yeahhhhh BOLTS jersey!
Great Tampa BOLT garb- luv it!
id rather miss marner now get him 100 percent for the playoff. Leafs are gonna be third and play better away anyway
I hope Tampa doesn't rush Sergachev back. Calgary should move on from Markstrom it would be interesting to see him in the Devils net.
I'll take the occasional 10 minute review if it means all calls are perfect. Which it hasn't so far, but that's the aim at least. But if at some point in the future, technology makes it possible to call games perfectly, I'll absolutely take it and the delays that come as a package deal, over horrible and inconsistent officiating.
I like the idea of behind the scenes with players, but not 12 star players, because that's like 12 flavours of vanilla. Make it different types of players (checking line, rookies, veterans, journeymen, and borderline NHLers fighting to stay in the league).
