Hi Shannon, with coaches making so much more money than before do you foresee the coaches creating a coaches association in the near future to defend them? Right now the NHL can basically fine like they want… I could see Torts leading the coaches on a coach strike!

I'm definitely with Torts. Refs should have to face criticism and should have to answer said criticism regarding their calls. The way they never have to explain themselves or apologize for their mistakes is crazy. But then again, I've always said that politicians and cops who break the law should get the chair, so maybe that's just my personal bias towards incompetent/corrupt authorities.
Not a Philly fan, but there is a part of me that misses coaches who showed that kind of unhinged fire, as well as the odd Gino Odjick style moment. Obviously, I don't need every game held up by brawls, screaming coaches and other antics, but every once in a while, a little taste of old time hockey works for me as long as it doesn't result in major injuries.

With Ottawa likely to make big changes with the new heads in the office I wouldn't be surprised to see Josh Norris end up in a similar situation to Sean Monahan.
Hopefully Norris can come back from this surgery

It'd be nice to know why Torts got suspended 2 games. Did he say something bad, or was he just mean, and Wes couldn't take it? Either way, it's safe to say that Philadelphia won't be getting the benefit of the doubt on calls anytime soon.

Not a lot of people surprised that Pittsburgh is out of the playoffs when the new G.M is right outta Tronno.
Interesting that there was no penalty called on the elbow that gave Danforth the concussion. So many of these are missed recently or just not called.
