Short answer: No
Long answer: Nooooooooooooooooooo
Also does this make all the ‘trade marner’ people silent like yes the team is eh or decent but WITHOUT MARNER THERE IS NO MAGIC
I still say Woll, needs to start in net
cute how adam is pretending like he wasn't one of the people talking about the deserve to win o meter…reminds me of the devils thing.
I love it when they let Steve talk.
It’s very simple, whoever they play in the first round I definitely think is beatable but it’s going to come down to effort. Last two games against Boston they had a terrible effort. First two were very very close and went to OT and shootout
Leafs have no chance against Boston or Florida in playoffs first round exit
Outplayed every game? Man Leaf fan's and their awful memories. Leaf's beat Tampa 7-2 in the 2nd game of the series. Are we serious here?
Also, pretty sure this has been obvious to everyone and anyone watching the Leafs for years. It used to be both Matthews + Marner and now it's just Marner. The team can't win with 11 million in dead cap space on their top line. He hasn't shown up in a single series for more then the first few games.
To Steve's point, he's been saying this for years now. No one arguing that Marner isn't a world class player in the regular season but we can't win with the composition of guys if he isn't showing up. If his game not only showed up post season but elevated, we'd probably have several deep runs on the books right now. That's how important he is.
If they go out round 1 here, you HAVE to look at asking Marner to waive his NMC. Use the return + savings from JT off the books to retool with some serious players and depth and hope you have some talent take big steps like Knies.
I put 25 dollars leafs win the cup at the first of the season had good odds if it happens great if not I waste that much easily
If any of the Stanley Cup contenders (Colorado, Edmonton, Dallas, Vegas, NYR, Carolina) moved to the Altantic Division (Boston, Toronto, Florida, Tampa Bay), they will all be called Frauds because half of them will always be out in the First or Second Round of the NHL playoffs regardless of their regular season records.
That’s just the reality of how the NHL playoff brackets work in 2024.
no they don’t

If you think Marner’s the problem you guys should check Matthews last 5 games or his series against Boston.. yikes
No.
It is a good sign – Treliving is starting to talk about the Leaf Core 4 playoff disappointments. Understanding a problem – is a good start to resolving it. This trend might be difficult for Bruins Fans. 😀
How many playoff team’s D pairs are better than the Leafs? The game is faster and requires puck moving defensemen. Vegas, Colorado, Florida = teams with great defensive units that can push the puck up the ice creating space and scoring chances.
the only game toronto didnt get out played was the 7-3 game 2 win
Naw probably not.
you guys forgot the D core
Need big guys to get people out the net and break up cycle
and check hard
that will ramp up the confident of the forward coming back to help out
