Imagine pulling off the first overall pick. Just because Gary doesn’t want San Jose or cbj to have him

Math is great and all, but realistically we’ve had a 0% chance to make the playoffs for a few weeks now.

Do we give SJS the pick even if protected? Have not a great feeling about next year

Really the ideal pick would be 11 or higher. If we keep this years pick we HAVE to give up next years, it’s not like we just don’t have to pay up.

Does anyone have any confidence next year will be any better? Potentially new coach, core is another year older, no new young guys in the pipeline to add to the roster, Pittsburgh is no longer a target for free agents. I don’t see this getting better anytime soon, and we may be top 10 pick next year.

If we drop towards the 10 mark, I hope we get Tij Iginla. He plays hockey like he chugs coffee right before puck drop.

I’m only here on the off chance that the Pens can spoil someone else’s chance at the WC. Lookin at you WSH and NYI. Been hoping for a month that we can just take down our rivalries as we slip, and it seems like we’re having trouble just doing that .

I’m all about a top 5 pick, even in a weaker draft – it ain’t like we’re gonna be great the next couple of years either

Good tbh, we are owed an elite prospect or two. About that time. Going on the record now though. If he isn’t as good as Mario or Sid I will be upset and complain, a lot.

  9. Atp we might as well try and get a top 10 pick. Even if by some miracle we made the playoffs we’re still getting bounced quick

There is realistically a 0% chance of making the playoffs so I definitely like the chances of drafting anyone spectacular more than making the playoffs.

They really should have tanked last season for Bedard.

  12. so Pens win the draft, and Jake decides to re-sign.

If they giftwrap this pick to Chicago like they did Bedard imma take a nice vacation from the NHL.

Good! Why make playoffs and get swept ? They need an young prospect who can be impact player and this is their chance. Hopefully the Devils keep winning and this graphic is not right the devils/Sabres have more points than the pens so pens should be 8th. Unless they are counting games in hand in the equation not sure. Pens should end up with 8th overall and then hopefully Bettman rigs it so we can get in the top 3

I didn’t realise how low in the standings we were. Like, we are the same as calargy and the Sens! That bad!? It’s only hit me now….

Fortunately, they will neither draft Celebrini nor will they make the playoffs.
