Powerplay looked really good, that’s a positive heading into playoffs for sure
Canucks won Vegas lost what more could you want.
Oilers remain on pace to finish with about 107-108 points (but could easily see them getting to 110 with how they are playing though). So Canucks should pretty much guarantee the division title with maybe 16 more points in the last 13 games, which is still a lot, it’s a 100-point pace. Of course that means Edmonton has to remain strong but there isn’t a lot of evidence to indicate they will slow down much. Oilers are 7-1-2 over their last 10, Canucks 6-2-2. A .500 record in the last 13 gets the team to 107 points, which would likely mean a photo finish in the division race.
That really shows you the importance of starting strong, assuming Vancouver can hold on to the Pacific lead, that strong start in October/November will have been the key.
