  1. I absolute disagree with this trade, I didnt like the kadri trade, and I just know there will be another trade later before the next season that I am not going to like

  2. Kapanen was fast bit he didnt have much iq . even Matthews stated he didnt want to be on a line with him after last year. I mean like how many times have you seen kapanen skate up the o zone to stop and spin around the bottom of the circle . its almost like his speed is too fast for his brain or something like that

  3. They're clearing cap space and freeing up room for upcoming players. Robertson, Der-Arguchintsev, Barabanov, Korshkov, Liljegren, Sandin, Lehtonen. Still have to resign. Mikheyev, Engvall, Clifford, Spezza, Dermott. They can let Barrie and Ceci leave. Let Gauthier and Rodriguez walk.

  4. & also.. Rutherford.. he has Sydney Crosby ffs.. if hes on he can take them to the playoffs any year.. Malkin iunno.. i feel he should probably be traded for youth moving forward.. but im not a GM i just feel Crosby is still the best player the world.. Mcdavid may take that spot after more expenerice and he gets the Oilers to a deep playoff run.

  5. Not sure why so many thinks that the Leafs won this trade. Pittsburgh gave up pretty much nothing, yet gained a top 6 player
+ 1 potential roster player in Åberg and…6 year pro, 23 year old solid young RD, who i think Leafs gonna regret giving up
as obviously i think you are gonna regret trading Kapanen too, heavily.

Draft picks are always a gamble, especially pick's as so, its a 50/50 at best, you get lucky, or you don't.
Rodrigues, is a meh bottom six, 4th liner in the NHL at best. The best piece you got was HÄllander, but even
he is nothing that special, although…he has progressed, developed super nicely in the SHL, but…knowing your track record
with centers…the type of centers you bring to your team, HĂ„llander most likely can't find that correct role from your team
and gets traded or something, along the way of things.

  6. I'm predicting Kappy will become a solid 30-35 goal scorer for the Pens, while playing in the top 6 for them.

  7. Cryptocurrency investments especially on Bitcoins seems to be an easy way of making money with the accurate trading strategy, Can someone please direct on how I can begin making money on Bitcoins as a beginner.

  8. not sure why fans are so hung up on first round picks .. about 40.5% of the league are first round picks .. on general only 19% of first round picks play more than 200 career games .. + what percentage of leafs fans trust dubas to make an impact pick ..

  9. 15th overall pick isnt necessarily a slam dunk.. im shocked that pens fans are pissed. Kapanen is a hell of a player. And the way the leafs draft it will probably be a bust.

  10. whoa someone else should have read the trade at the intro…. bro in the top right needs to read more often

  11. Its interesting how penguins needed a high scoring winger against Montreal and thats all people talked about, but when they get one Jim Rutherford should be fired

  12. all i heard was this was a big win for Dubas.. i literally laughed out loud .. and then on top of that saying it makes up for the loss of the pick in the marleau trade, like it just evens it out like that first pick never existed.. wow

  13. Nylander is the second coming of Christ. He needs to be paid accordingly, hence the contract of Kapanen needs to traded.

  14. Getting a 1st for Kappanen was a coup…
I will say that on Pittsburg…. Playing on the 1st or 2nd line…I can certainly see a low end 50-55pt season….up to 65-75pts with the minutes and linemates he will play with in Pittsburg.
For Toronto…#15 in a loaded draft is a great get. Can try and move up…stand pat and make pick….trade for a good, young Dman on an ELC….
Kerfoot, Engvall can also be moved to save about 5mil…how about:
Toronto trades: Kerfoot, Engvall and 2020 2nd
Rangers trade: Georgiev, Andersson, 2020 3rd and conditional 2021 3rd
Toronto get a young goalie who can be had for about $2mil or so on a bridge deal. A former 1st in need of a scenery change and 2 3rd Rd picks. All while offing $5mil off the cap. Even if Georgiev takes up $2mil of that…. I think this trade helps both teams

  15. Pietriangelo signing. Plus trade Willy Nylander for another two way defensemen and we will see improvement for the leafs. I am also thinking they maybe in the lookout for a new goalie. Maybe Lehner đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž
Could trade away Anderson for some added depth upfront with Nylander gone for some cap friendly tougher guys tobsuurond their stars with

  16. In defense of Dubas Kapanen was starting to throw checks so I don't know if that fits the Leafs style.

  17. Kapanen will be a 30-40 goal scorer with the right linemates. The guy is 2nd fastest skater in the league. He was clutch for Leafs in the playoffs ( not this year) Though he was pretty bad under Keefe . A much better player under Babcock.

  18. Could the Oilers swing a khaira for Rodriguez rfa tender trade? I mean maybe khaira can break on the leafs 4th line and evans can be Oilers 3rd line center

  19. PTP PTP PTP
giving away a 25-30-55 guy for cap space

I not sure if penquins have big SCP anyhow

Leaves ( plan the parade coming to you soon – 1968 – RIP )

  20. Does Kapanen as a Leaf play full time (more or less) on either of their top 2 lines next year? Answer probably not, but he WILL in Pittsburgh. Good deal for the Leafs, relieves cap pressure, brings in a top 15 draft choice along with a prospect. In the end Miheyev and Nick Robertson mad him expendable.

  21. Pens get better immediately and that’s their goal. Yeah we lost our 1st but outside the top 10 your chances or getting a great player are low. Plus they wouldn’t develop for years. Pens are still in win now mode. You can’t accurately assess a trade until at least a year or 2 later anyway.

  22. I don't need to watch you hash this out. This is Dubas' best trade by far. It had to be done and is just a precursor to more moves to come.
This team is a perennial loser.
The rebuild was going just fine until Dubas took the reigns and signed Tavares.
I'm in for one more season. If incredible improvement is not made with motivation, grit, heart, team defense, the bottom six, overall balance, and at least a few rounds next playoffs, I'm starting a petition for Leafs Nation to oust current management.
I'll also call the health authorities on the team stating the Leafs are causing emotional damage year after year to millions of fans. Lastly, I"ll report them to the BBB as a promising a good product, but failing to deliver.

  23. Sorry for all my friends in Toronto but no matter what the Leafs do they are going to have accept that the Hockey Gods will always be against them no matter who is on their roster. Don't hold your breath if your waiting for a parade.

  24. I'm not a Leafs fan by any stretch of the imagination but they absolutely undressed the Penguins in this trade

  25. The Leafs did win the Zaitsev trade.
Ceci is off the books now. Zaitsev is still owed $4.5M for four more years.
Yeah, we also lost Connor Brown, but a 2020 3rd rounder (flipped o acquire Jack Campbell) and NOT having to pay Zaitsev $18M until 2024, makes up for the loss Brown.

  26. Sadly for the Maple Leafs, Dubas is too dumb to do anything with that first round pick. He'll likely select a 38 year old career minor leaguer from Sweden that he mistakenly believes is related to William Nylander.
