The Edmonton Oilers went toe-to-toe with the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night; however, a piece of magic from Nathan MacKinnon late into the overtime period proved to be the difference. Edmonton lost 3-2 but still hold firmly onto second in the Pacific Division and even tightened the gap over the Vancouver Canucks to six points with three games in hand.

I'm starting to question whether our defense will cut it in the playoffs, especially after the AVs game. IMO Stecher and Broberg need to be given an opportunity to show what they can do down the stretch, and maybe into the playoffs. I'm sure they both can probably skate and move the puck better than Vinny and Cece.
